The Challenge
Donovan's work spans six genuinely different worlds: weddings, sports and concerts, corporate events, family portraits, travel, and food and product photography. A single generic portfolio grid would have flattened all of that range into sameness. The site needed to let each category feel distinct in mood while still reading as one cohesive, professional body of work, and, since photography is a visual medium, the site itself had to get out of the way and let the images carry it.
The Approach
We built a category-driven structure rather than one long scroll of mixed images: Weddings, Travel, Corporate Narratives, Entertainment, and Food & Product each get their own framing, tone, and short narrative line, so a couple looking for wedding photography and a brand looking for product shots each land somewhere that feels made for them. A dedicated booking form captures event type and date directly, keeping enquiries organized before they even reach Donovan's inbox.
Tech & Craft Highlights
